I got a little preoccupied doing some gardening with my mum for my deck so that’s why this is post comes a little late to you today🌿 I have some new little plant babies who I shall cherish & (hopefully) grow in the coming months!
I’ve also stuck a TON of Queer Eye gifs in my post which will be published tomorrow, so those lifted my spirits as well 🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻
⠀ I’ve come to recognize a lot of what I was putting out for my Grounded Gratitude practice posts, were things which I have been grateful for within my current situation (a la isolated at home). While that’s been super fulfilling, I have sort of neglected to focus on things which I am grateful for which I encountered & appreciated pre-pandemic.🤔⠀
I am grateful for a landlord and rental company who are understanding and sympathetic to financial hardship.
I am grateful for massage therapy appointments.
I am grateful for Tiger King memes.
⠀ I plan to incorporate more of those elements, which while I don’t have them now, I can look forward to having them present again in the future. Such as massage therapy!💆🏼♀️⠀ ⠀ What are you looking forward to doing again that you aren’t able to do now because of covid-19? Comment below!👇🏻
Grounded Gratitude Day 13 – hello! I had tuna melt today for lunch which I used to eat all the time growing up! I’m grateful for meals that bring you back to when you were a kid.
I am grateful for making lunches I ate as a kid (tuna melts!)
I am grateful for sunshine
I am grateful for documentaries
I’ve decided that i’ll restart from Day 1 for Grounded Gratitude when April 1st comes around. That way, my days don’t get out of hand & we find ourselves reaching Day 103 of Grounded Gratitude haha ( I mean, that’s commitment though, right?).
Did you have a fave meal as a kid growing up? If so, what was it? Let me know in the comments below! ~LE.
Welcome to Day 4 of Grounded Gratitude on the blog (ahah I typed blug first)! It’s Friday yippee!
I am grateful for puzzles and adult coloring books.
I am grateful for the number of resources being made available to keep people busy during the pandemic (i.e. Vancouver Symphony Orchestra posting concerts people can stream online, crafting videos via the local library, audio-books).
I am grateful that I have taken the necessary steps to lower my exposure to negative news coverage, through such means as reducing time spent on social media and tuning out press conferences. These steps have been taken in order to keep myself mentally uplifted and maintaining a positive mindset.
Here’s to surviving, thriving and keeping optimistic! ~LE
