April Grounded Gratitude Day 24

Grounded Gratitude Day 24! When May 1st comes around we’ll start back at Day 1 🤗

Seeing the senior sign with her granddaughter (I assume was her granddaughter) makes me want to learn how to “speak” it now too! Learn a new skill? ASL? Why the heck not?👏🏻

I realize that I posted the other day about how many leftovers I have, but since my failed frying experiment last week, I haven’t stopped craving fried chicken LOL. For those of you who missed my story, I attempted to deep fry jackfruit from a @buzzfeedtasty recipe where it’s supposed to mimic popcorn chicken and proceeded to wreck the oil from the temperature being too high, set off my fire alarm for a solid 10 minutes and nearly burned my apartment down 😬😬😬

The place I order chicken from is run by the sweetest Korean family – another small biz I am more than happy to support because they provide me hella yummy food! They took their little son back to South Korea to meet his relatives for the first time last year and closed their shop for a few weeks while they were gone, and I MISSED the chicken – but they had a fair reason 😋

And the new patio set is all ready! Now what else to add? Plants? A shelf for my plants? A lounge chair to read books in? A little cart or side table to accompany it? Think of the possibilities!🌟

What are you grateful for? You know what to do, let me know in the comments below you fine folks! 🎉

April Grounded Gratitude Day 6

April Grounded Gratitude Day 6

Hi friends – Grounded Gratitude Day 6, comes to you from my deck where I’m outside eating dinner for the first time this season! 🌷

To be honest it’s a little chilly, and my apartment faces north so it’s in shade but I can’t wait to get out here more this summer – blog, read, decorate with fake plants I can’t possibly kill, you name it 😂😂

Grounded Gratitude Day 13

Grounded Gratitude Day 13

Grounded Gratitude Day 13 – hello! I had tuna melt today for lunch which I used to eat all the time growing up! I’m grateful for meals that bring you back to when you were a kid.

  • I am grateful for making lunches I ate as a kid (tuna melts!)
  • I am grateful for sunshine
  • I am grateful for documentaries

I’ve decided that i’ll restart from Day 1 for Grounded Gratitude when April 1st comes around. That way, my days don’t get out of hand & we find ourselves reaching Day 103 of Grounded Gratitude haha ( I mean, that’s commitment though, right?).

Did you have a fave meal as a kid growing up? If so, what was it? Let me know in the comments below! ~LE.

Grounded Gratitude Day 10

Grounded Gratitude Day 10

Hi all – Grounded Gratitude Day 10 here for you and me! Today is all about appreciation for personal care & parents💜

  • I am grateful for taking the time and effort to do my hair this morning rather than throwing it up in a bun.
  • I am grateful for my Lush shampoo/conditioner bars, in an attempt to reduce single-use plastics in my home.
  • I am grateful for mid-week visits to my parents’ house.

It’s raining outside so a good day to stay indoors, putz around the apartment & work on some great content for my blog – about to make myself a cup of tea, too 🤗

Grounded Gratitude Day 7

Grounded Gratitude Day 7

Starting Day 7 of Grounded Gratitude celebrating all things Spring – we’re a week into this practice, & it’s been nothing but fulfilling☺️⠀

  • I am grateful for the birds chirping outside my window when I wake up in the morning.
  • I am grateful for the smell of fresh cut grass.
  • I am grateful for Spring flowers in bloom.
    ⠀
For those new to my site, Grounded Gratitude is a daily practice where I post 3 things I am grateful for. It’s a simple, easy, fun way to ground myself in the present, while I am …. well …. literally grounded in my apartment lol. ⠀
    ⠀
Social distancing may be in place but that should be even more of a reason to cherish all the good in our lives & all the good we will have once again, when we have weathered this storm of a virus.⠀
    ⠀
Here’s to striving, thriving & keeping optimistic! ~ LE
